Meet your teacher....  2021-22 School Year
My husband and I grew up in the South Bay. We have two children, Sophia - age 14 and Vivian - age 10. Sophia graduated from Soleado and Ridgecrest and is in the 9th grade at Peninsula High School.  Vivian is in Mrs. Murdoch's 4/5 combination class. This is my 18th year here at Soleado and I feel super lucky to be a part of this wonderful school! In addition to an Elementary Teaching Credential, I have a Masters Degree in Technology and a Secondary Authorization to teach Math and Science up to 9th grade.

My husband, Scott Ellis, teaches 6th/7th Grade English at Ridgecrest Intermediate School and has a Single Subject Credential in English.

Growth Mindset Research Report Information

These are the documents we have been using in class.  The students will need to type a research report using the attached rubric as a guide.  This research report should be typed using 12 point font, Times New Roman, and double spaced.  A separate Bibliography page should be included.
The rough draft for this project is due on Monday, May 14th.  The final draft will be due on Wednesday, May 16th.

My Classroom Economy

In 5th Grade, we will be using the My Classroom Economy program.  If you want to learn more about the program, please check out the website:  It is a great way to teach financial literacy in the younger years.  It is also fun!
