Welcome Soleado Families!
On behalf of the faculty and staff at Soleado Elementary School, I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new and returning families.  I am looking forward to joining the Soleado family as the new principal and getting to know all of you! We are all looking forward to a successful school year.
On Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. please join us for our Soleado Family Social. This will be a great opportunity to meet new families as well as to learn about the various clubs and organizations we have at Soleado. Feel free to bring a blanket and a picnic lunch to enjoy while you are socializing.
We invite all incoming kindergarten families to join us on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. for our Kindergarten Meet and Greet. This is a great opportunity for the students to meet their teachers.

At the beginning of August, you will receive an email from PV Info (PVPUSD) directing you to the online registration links on the District website )
The office will be open on August 14th, 15th and 16th from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. for families to drop off student registration paperwork. If you need assistance completing your Aeries online registration, please join us between 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. on August 14th, 15th or 16th. Paperwork can also be returned to the office on your child’s first day of school for those families unable to drop off registration paperwork on these days.
If you have not already done so, we encourage all parents to take advantage of pre-ordering student school supplies through our Soleado School Supply Program.  The donated cost per child is $65 which covers all individual student school supplies, as well as needed grade-level supplies. The order form is available in our registration packet as well as on the Soleado website.  Simply fill it out and pay with credit card on Member Planet or submit it with your check made out to Soleado Elementary School. The supplies will be delivered to your child’s classroom and stored by their teacher.
K-2nd graders will need to be dropped off at the front of the school.  (If the students have older siblings, they can be dropped off in front together.)  3rd-5th graders will need to be dropped off at the Flaming Arrow gate (lower field).  The pick-up procedures and protocol have not changed.  They will remain the same as last year.  Just a reminder, there is no “Sibling Watch” offered between the primary and secondary dismissal times.  You need to pick up your younger child or enroll in the after-school program, Kid’s Corner, while they wait for older siblings.
I hope you enjoy the last few days of summer and I look forward to seeing you all on the first day of school!
