Social Emotional Resources

Soleado Families,
As educators, we are dedicated to serving children and supporting the development of the whole child. As the school psychologist at Soleado Elementary, it is my role to support your student's mental health and wellbeing. In addition to working directly with students I consult and collaborate with teachers and families to promote their social emotional development.
If you have any concerns or questions about your child's mental health, school performance, or well-being, I can be reached at: [email protected]

Counseling Support Services

Each elementary site has a school psychologist available to support the social-emotional needs of all students on campus.  The school psychologist is a resource to students, teachers and parents when a student is struggling with concerns related to mental health, social relationships and academic growth.  School psychologists can connect families with community resources and provide guidance on how the school team can support students experiencing crisis. Please complete the form below if you would like to reach out to the school psychologist.

Social Emotional Learning Curriculum

All PVPUSD elementary school students received instruction in social emotional learning and development through the Second Step Program.  Throughout the school year, designated Second Step lessons are delivered by the classroom teacher.  These lessons focus on social emotional skills such as empathy, emotion management, feeling identification and problem solving.
