Thanks for the wonderful cards and gifts for Valentine's Day. I felt very loved!

Vista 3 will be having their math test over chapter 11 on Feb. 22nd. They will be bringing home their books on Tuesday to start reviewing.

The third grade classes are skipping to chapter 11 in math. This will help them better prepare for spring testing. We are still going to be doing work with multiplication and division.

The students of Vista 3 are making puppets of an animal from their biome. It's a wonderful art program stressing creativity and problem solving. We all can't wait to see the final projects!

The third grade Valentine's Day party will be on the 14th at 1:30. Everyone is welcome! A class list will be going home tomorrow so you can be certain all children will receive cards. Remember; no more than one small piece of candy per card. We have a number of students with allergies, so we need to be careful. Thanks!

Vista 3 will be having a math test over Ch.8 on Thursday. We have been reviewing simple division problems with a remainder, but some students are having difficulty remembering the steps. A few still don't know their mult. facts which limits their ability to do the work. Please review the unit with your child so they feel confident going into the test.

Thanks to all the parents who donated coats to the homeless. All 73 were given out and are being used locally. Our school bagel sale allowed use to "Adopt" a giraffe from World Wildlife fund. We were also able to give them an additional $35.00. Thank you from all of the V-3 Roots & Shoots members! 

We have started our unit on division in math. Some students are very frustrated because they still don't know the basic multiplication facts. Please review these nightly with your child so they feel confident moving on to division.

With flu season here, we need wipes for our desks and tables. We could also use some more gifts for our goodie box. Thanks!
