Song and Prompts for Prepositions of Place

This song helps students learn basic spatial concepts by pairing opposite words with songs and (hand) signs. Learn it to help prompt your child when they give that familiar vague response, "right there." I prompt with these signs in the speech room.

hi I'm mrs. I'm a speech therapist here at souleiado Elementary in Cornerstone Elementary and today I'm going to teach you a little song that we do with our kids to help them learn the prepositions or spatial contact and some of these are American Sign Language and some of them register gestures that down work the best for kids that they can do and remember so it's a really simple song and you pair two opposite preposition so the first one is inside outside can you make a little like hole that your hand RC shape and you take the other hand you put it inside so it goes like this inside and so outside inside inside outside then you do the next one at hand and a thumbs up makeup under under on top under under on top under over under under over next one we just do in front this isn't this finally what is a good gesture so in front in front and back in front and front and back in front in front behind in front in front behind  next one is between two and then the last one is through and around so between you just put your hands together put it between your knees and the next to you like sit next to me between between next to between between next to go through go through around go through go through around so that's it and when you practice with your kids at home if they forget these words when you're talking about something in the room or picture you can just do that little spine if you remember so thank you so much for helping your kids
