These are some of the apps students will be using that can be accessed through the PVPUSD portal.

Google Classroom: Communication and Collaboration

Students also have access to Typing.com and the Palos Verdes Library website through the portal.

Epic!

Epic! Digital Book Library

In class, we use the Epic! site to access a free digital book library. It is free for student use during the school day, but needs a paid parent subscription to access outside of school hours. If you already have a subscription, please use our class site so that students can see special collections related to topics being studied in class. Our class code is posted on our Google Classroom site.

Fun with Fractions

Make art with fractional pieces of circles. If you don't have a compass, find circles to trace.

Challenge: Make it Mathematical!

Make a key showing the unit fraction represented by each piece in your collage. Don't forget to consider the size of the circle.
How many of each unit fraction do you have?
How could you represent each of those totals as fractions, whole numbers, or mixed numbers?
